| Instructions for Wrapping |
| Bodywraps are best performed with an empty stomach. During the wrap, lipids will be released into the bloodstream and can be burned for fuel. Eating before, during or immediately after a bodywrap can result in any lipids released being restored in fat cells. Before beginning the wrap, make sure that the prewrap gel, “wrap snack” and post-wrap gel is prepared and handy. Either begin preparing your clay wrap or warm slowly on low heat at the stove. Keep a tall iced glass of your tea handy while you perform the wrap. 1. Dry brushing the skin with a soft, natural bristle brush before wrapping will improve your results by removing dry skin layers and by stimulating the lymph system. Excellent reference on skin brushing can be found at http://www.racingsmarter.com/skin_brushing.htm 2. Take a warm shower before wrapping to open the skin pores. If you haven’t brushed before showering, use a loofah or rough wash cloth to exfoliate the skin. 3. You might want to measure after your shower and write down your statistics before wrapping. I normally do partial wraps from the waist to knees, so I generally measure my waist, lower abs, hips, upper thigh and above the knee before wrapping. |

| 4. Before wrapping, warm the pre-wrap gel by microwaving for a few seconds or by placing the container in a bowl of hot water. Shake frequently while warming. If using the Yohimbine hcl in your gel, apply at least 20 minutes before wrapping and allow to dry on the skin without disturbance until it absorbs. You can put your pre-wrap gel on before mixing up your clay wrap
5. In a warm, private room, start your wrap. Be careful and make sure your clay mixture is at a comfortable temperature. It should be warm enough to open pores, but cool enough to handle without burning yourself. Place several of your rolled bandages in the pot of clay mixture and soak thoroughly by squeezing them until they are saturated with the thick mixtures. 6. Before wrapping, spread some of the clay mixture over the skin where you will be wrapping. 7. Depending on whether you are doing a full or a partial wrap, begin wrapping from the ankles or right below the knees. Wrap the bandages mummy-style from the bottom up towards the top. Wrap bandages as tightly as you can to compress the skin, but be careful of impeding circulation. With a little practice, you will easily find a pressure that is most comfortable for you. Overlap the bandages for complete coverage. Tuck the end of each new bandage into the last one. 8. Wrap each leg separately from the kneecap to the groin. When wrapping the derriere, first wrap each buttock check separately and leverage at the hipbone for extra lift. The rear end can be a little difficult to wrap. 9. Wrap the hips and waist tightly, tucking the ends in and soaking and using as many wraps as necessary for good coverage and compression. 10. I generally use an old girdle, as tight as I can find, over the cloths to add to the compression and to help hold them tight at the hip joints. 11. After wrapping completely, you can spread a little more of the clay mixture over the cloths. Then cover the wrapping with plastic to maintain heat and moisture. I also use a plastic sauna suit purchased from a discount store, to help hold in the mess. 12. For the next 60 minutes, relax and drink your wrap tea. Try to drink at least a half-quart of it while being wrapped. Some salons will have you do mild exercise to increase blood flow, but this also results in wraps falling apart. I personally do Lifelift breathing exercises at this time to stimulate lymph flow. 13. After the hour is over, remove the sauna suit, plastic wrap, and bandages. The first thing you’ll want to do when you are out of the bandages is go to the lav. Then, rinse under the shower with lukewarm water to remove the mud, using a washcloth to brush off as much as possible. Do NOT use soap. 14. At this point, you may wish to measure yourself and see how you did. Remember that you will get better results with more compression, as well as better results with repetition. Most salons recommend 10-12 wraps for best results. 15. After remeasuring, pat yourself dry and apply the post wrap gel, rubbing in vigorously. If you chose to use the Yohimbine hcl powder, do not use on the breasts, feet, armpits or genitals. Without the Yohimbine, the solution is good for your entire body. You may wish to make two separate bottles of each, using the Yohimbine solution only on your fatty areas. 16. During the next several hours, there are a few things you can do to enhance your wrap results: Drink the rest of your tea. Take a brisk walk Refrain from eating for at least 2-3 hours after. For the next several days, refrain from the consumption of salts, sugars or alcohol, and drink at least 8 glasses of distilled water daily. Avoid showering for 24-48 hours after if possible. If not feasible, avoid using soap on skin except where and when necessary, and keep water temperature luke-warm. Have fun and good luck.
